The Palace Ballroom

October 1st, 2008

The Palace Ballroom, located across the street from the amazing Palace Kitchen restaurant, is one of our favorite venues in the city. Not only is the interior warm, urban, and sexy, but the staff is amazing. Every event is tailored to the couple’s unique vision and no detail is left ignored. In addition, Tom Douglas’ catering is some of the very best around.

Jessie and Travis of True Colors Events are not merely coordinators…they are visionaries! A Country Location

August 29th, 2008

A Country Location in Arlington was designed with photography in mind. This gorgeous spot has been used for numerous catalog shoots and, upon visiting, one can see why. From the sunny and high-ceilinged bride’s room and the rustic and spacious “barn” that’s perfect for dancing, to the sprawling lawn, the tented reception area, and the pond (complete with rowboats), the photo opportunities are endless.

Kiana Lodge

August 29th, 2008

Kiana Lodge near Bainbridge Island is pure Northwest: lovely and simple lodge-like interiors coupled with beautiful outdoor gardens, paths, and alcoves, all situated right on the water. The food is great, the staff is professional and attentive, and the extra special services they offer, (like bonfires on the beach) help to make your event truly unforgettable. This is a perfect spot to introduce your out-of-town guests to the natural beauty of the Puget Sound.

A Helping Hand

August 22nd, 2008

Hello there Lulu Wedding bloggers!

I have been meaning to post on this blog now for quite some time and happily introduce myself on this blog that is jam packed full of talent. I have had the privilege of working with these women all year long. While they are all extrememly unique and different in their photography styles, I have been very lucky in getting to know Michèle this year. Not only is she a wonderful breath of fresh air in the photography world, but a great person to spend some time with. I hope to continue working with all these creative minds.

I’m tagging along behind these women to do a little bit of learning and hope to spark some creativity in myself as well. I am a current student and love to study Italian, people and photography. I’ve grown up with a camera always by my side, I hope that never has to change.

With all that said, it is my duty to keep up this blog and I have been falling desperately behind, so I will do my best to be a bit more on top of things! Enjoy the site and what these ladies have to offer!

Dolce Vita!

Heading South for the Winter

April 14th, 2008

Della and I got to spend a nice 5 days in the Yucatan Peninsula in Merida shooting a fabulous wedding at one of the Haciendas. Of course, with 2 photographers, great scenery and a bit of fantastic light, we couldn’t help but have a blast. We even got a day off– and what did we do? Take more photos! Here are a few I took around town.

Della grabbed this one of me doing a bit of hammocking:

Urban Unveiled is THE wedding event this year!

January 31st, 2008

If you are planning a wedding and the big wedding shows are just not your thing, you need to check out the swanky, fun, and fabulous Urban Unveiled event on the evening of February 21 at Benaroya Hall.

Urban Unveiled made its debut last year at one of our favorite venues, The Palace Ballroom, and it created quite a stir. Great food, a fantastic Luly Yang fashion show, a raffle with fabulous prizes, as well as an impressive showcase of work by some of Seattle’s most talented wedding professionals made the sold-out event the talk of the town.

This year, Urban Unveiled has moved to Benaroya Hall in order to accommodate more vendors and guests. Sharlane and Clare, along with the talented duo from True Colors Events, have all been hard at work for the past year, ensuring that this event is even more amazing than last year.

Urban Unveiled is the perfect event for a bride who wants to have FUN while planning her wedding. It is, first and foremost, a fantastic cocktail party, complete with music, food and drinks. Of course you also get to see the work of over 50 incredible wedding vendors- all of whom are artists in their field. And, yes, there is another fashion show by Luly Yang, and a great raffle.

Check out the website and get your tickets now!
